Senior Database Administrator
TechInception looking for Senior Database Administrator, examines, validates, and test database systems to sure developed products and services are scalable and reliable. His role to perform advanced troubleshooting and configuration on the database tier. This engineer is the primary contact for delivering performance and scalable database architectures.
As a Senior Database Administrator you will:
- Assists with the examination, validation and testing of database systems – serving as primary for MariaDB Databases
- Analyze database performance to meet the needs of the business
- Perform advanced database configuration and deployment tasks
- Perform migration from other RDBMS to MariaDB
- Writes defect reports and perform initial triage of performance defects
- Assist with incident response and troubleshooting during outage or impairment situations
- Follows QA processes, standards, and best practices to test and implement
- Document and assist in the resolution of routine problems
- Database Statistical Reporting and Analysis: AWR reporting. Identification of query optimization patterns, deadlock/contention and tuning
- Experience with at least one other Enterprise RDBMS, Maria DB, SQL Server, My SQL, Postgres
- Participate in the testing of the database according to specific guidelines and protocols
- Participate in developing and executing routine scripted automated tests
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar field or related work experience
- Bachealor’s Degree – Computer Science
- Oracle Certification – SQL Expert
Preferred Skills/Experience
- SQL Loader
- JDBC/ODBC
- SQL, PL/SQL
- Linux and Windows
- Log Analysis – Splunk
- Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle Enterprise Manager
- 10 + years experience in Oracle database administration
Extensive experience in:
- Advance knowledge of database performance tuning and troubleshooting

- Experience with at least one other Enterprise RDBMS – MariaDB, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres
