Hospice Care Consultant & Specialist
TechInception is seeking for Hospice Care Consultant & Specialist. The Hospice Care Consultant interact and assist with referrals from healthcare professionals of hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes, long term care facilities and physicians in private practice. The success of this position derives solely from the provider relationships that result in the admission of appropriate patients from physicians, discharge planners, case managers, floor nurses, and other healthcare professionals. This position participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and weekly market meetings assigned by the Executive Director or the Director of Business Development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Be in the community every day educating people and developing relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Have to make phone calls and conducting presentations to your potential referral sources.
- Creating strategic marketing plans that will help in achieving your goals.
- Connectively working side-by-side with the clinical and operational team to promote our hospice services and solidify the highest quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Graduate in a related field.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- 5- years of previous healthcare experience in hospice, home care, healthcare sales or marketing.
- Demonstrate commitment to hospice philosophy of care.
- Good in verbal and written communication skills.
- Enable to work closely with a variety of people while effectively using problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of referral patterns in the service areas.
Extensive experience in:
- Willing to learn Medicare regulations and related reimbursement issues for hospice and long-term care.
- Good knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word.
- Perform as a team player within the department, clinical and operational teams.
